Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber proved that South Yorkshire is well and truly open for business.
Chamber Means Business returned for its eight year to the AESSEAL New York Stadium, by welcoming more than 320 delegates. The exhibition provided opportunities for visitors to meet and find out more about the diverse range of businesses operating across the Sheffield City Region.
Regarded by many as a key date on the local business calendar, Chamber Means Business was sponsored by Burrows Motors, Castle Steel Buildings, KAT Communications and Osborne technologies.
During the day company owners were given the chance to learn more about health and wellbeing in the workplace through a special presentation provided by Chamber patron Westfield Health.
The special event also recognised the longstanding contributions of six businesses who were presented with special ‘Salute to Business’ Awards, in recognition of the longstanding contribution to supporting the local economy.
Andrew Denniff, Chief Executive, Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce said: “Chamber Means Business has firmly established itself as one of the most eagerly anticipated dates on the local business calendar. During the day we welcomed both mayors from Barnsley and Rotherham, who spent time visiting every stand, learning more about the diverse range of businesses currently operating within the two towns.
“This year’s event saw our exhibition sell out in record time and it was great seeing so many businesses come together to network, collaborate and celebrate the diversity of our local economy. I would like to thank everyone who contributed in the day.”
Chamber Means Business will return in September 2020.
